In honor of the tremendous legacy that my parents, Benjamin and Lydia Glover have left, the CCAC Scholarship Fund was created to provide support for students with an interest and ability who would not otherwise be able to afford classes. We believe that no child should be denied exposure to, or the experience of the arts because of financial challenge.
SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES
CCAC’s Scholarship Fund needs to raise over $60,000 annually to continue serving over 100 children currently receiving merit and need-based scholarships. We can reach our goal with your contribution! Read the brochure and learn more about this new program, how you can adopt a dancer, and about some alumni successes. Scholarship assistance is given to children based on need, interest and ability. It is expected that recipients attend classes on a regular basis and are committed to the discipline of the art form in order to avoid forfeiture of their scholarship. Other requirements do apply.
The General Scholarship Fund supports students in need of tuition assistance. A formal application is submitted and tuition assistance is determined based on family size and income.
The Benjamin & Lydia Glover Scholarship supports 50 students in the 3rd & 4th grades who demonstrate exceptional ability in dance and for whom tuition assistance is essential in order to continue training.
Jubilation Dance Ensemble is a talent based scholarship in which all students who participate receive a full one year scholarship for all their training. JDE members are gifted and talented students between the ages of 9 and 18 who are invited into the ensemble based solely on talent and committment. They must fulfill all the required classes, rehearsals and performances in order to remain a member. The scholarship is renewed each year that a student remains in compliance with all the criteria.
Adopt a dancer fund
The Adopt a dancer program will support a dancer for 1 year for classes and dancewear. This program helps to ensure that those needs based students will be able to adhere to the dress code set forth by CCAC policies.
To the Pointe – provides dancewear and shoes for needs based students. These funds go directly to the acquisition of dancewear for the scholarship students.
The Capital Campaign – endeavors to create the appropriate atmosphere for training in the arts by providing additional space. A 5000 square foot facility that will house 2 additional studios, male and female dressing rooms, offices, music rooms, an art gallery and additional parking space.
